The participation of women in political process has been always low in Pakistan while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa women are not much encouraged to take part in decision making and democratic process. Da Hawwa Lur has been training women from rural areas on the political process and participation and observing the election to measure the ratio of women turn out and participation.

Objectives:

• To educate women on her basic rights to participate in democratic process.
• To increase the number of women in the decision making process.
• To promote women political empowerment.

Project Brief:

Da Hawwa Lur has been training and creating awareness among the women of rural areas on the equal participation of women in political process. For this purpose a campaign “Voter and Candidate Education” was conducted in rural areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under which 100 women from rural areas were trained during local government elections and the election observation was conducted as well.
